This is a relatively simple concept which takes some time and effort to execute successfully. The basic concept is to create a large number of overly positive and glowing reviews in order to get your target’s website penalized for manipulative behavior, which in turn will reduce its business’ exposure to the public.

Defence

As with most review system attacks, there’s no real defense against a “Good Fake Reviews” attack, as you’re totally reliant on Google and the other review platform operators to detect and filter questionable and malicious reviews out of their systems.
