As the name suggests, Comment Pollution involves the abuse of a target website’s comment system. By simply inserting terms which trigger Google’s Safe-Search Filters, the attacker is able to substantially reduce a web page’s SERP exposure. This is a fairly common NSEO attack vector that’s particularly effective on sites which do not monitor or police their comment sections.

Defense

Monitor comments and delete inappropriate ones in a timely manner.
