This is a pretty simple one. You take your victim’s unique content and republish it in multiple places online. The general idea is to dilute your victim’s value and relevance, and to try and convince Google to show your version[s] as the primary source of the content/information.
Defense
The best defense against this type of attack is to have a popular, high-converting website with a healthy link profile. This will massively increase the chances of Google picking your version of the content over that of your attacker.
